| Definition |
A Na(+)/H(+) exchange regulatory cofactor with ERM-binding domain that is a translation product of the human SLC9A3R1 gene or a 1:1 ortholog thereof. It contains two copies of the PDZ domain at the N terminus and an EBP50 domain at the C-terminus. The latter allows interaction with FERM domains, resulting in the activation of ERM proteins (PR:000001030), with subsequent cytoskeletal modulation and cellular growth control.
