miRTex is a text-mining system that extracts miRNA-gene regulation relations and miRNA-target relations from literature. This website hosts the results produced by miRTex. Currently the database stores 18,756 PubMed abstracts with 20,119 unique miRNA-target pairs, 42,728 unique miRNA-gene regulation pairs and 5,512 unique gene-miRNA regulation pairs. We are working on incorporating the miRTex results for the full-length articles from the PMC Open Access Subset.
You can search various types of queries,

  • a miRNA, e.g., miR-100
  • a gene, e.g., BCL2
  • a disease name, e.g., "triple negative breast cancer"
  • a query consisting of OR, AND, and NOT operators, e.g., "TNBC" OR "triple negative breast cancer"
  • a list of PMIDs separated by comma and/or space, e.g., 22892391, 23981989

The development and test corpora used by miRTex were published with the paper below and can be downloaded here.
