TI - Conclusions . AB - It is clear that multiple cellular functions are regulated by PP4c and its interacting proteins and that several of these are crucial to determining leukemic cell survival , particularly after treatment with cytotoxic drugs . Our findings indicate that the endogenous level of PP4c plays a critical role in maintaining the delicate balance between cell survival and cell death both in normal lymphocytes and T-leukemic cells and acts , atleast partly , through direct or indirect dePHOSphorylation of PEA-15 . These observations suggest that modulating PP4c or PEA-15 function may prove important in therapeutic strategies for the treatment of leukemia .
