PRO name protein BRASSINOSTEROID INSENSITIVE 1 isoform 1 phosphorylated 7
Synonyms
PRO-short-label: BRI1/iso:1/Phos:7
Definition A protein BRASSINOSTEROID INSENSITIVE 1 isoform 1 that has been phosphorylated by autocatalysis on Ser and Tyr residues within the C-terminal cytoplasmic domain. Example: UniProtKB:O22476-1, Tyr-831/Tyr-956/Tyr-1072, MOD:00048|Ser-858/Ser-891, MOD:00046|Thr-872, MOD:00047. [PMID:22891071, PRO:DAN, PRO:LVM]
Comment Note: Autophosphorylation of the recombinant protein appears to be hierarchical and proceeds in the order: phosphoserine, then phosphothreonine, then phosphotyrosine. This may explain why tyrosine autophosphorylation was not observed in some studies.
